Popular e-books and digital audiobooks available for free at the Watauga County Public Library | mountain time

BOONE – As people read and listen to more and more books on their smartphones or tablets, they’re discovering that one of the best resources is their local public library. Watauga County residents can access a wide selection of popular digital ebooks and audiobooks for free at the Watauga County Public Library. With a library card, community members can borrow from the digital collection by downloading Libby, OverDrive’s award-winning reading app, or by visiting www.arlibrary.org/ebooks.

Additionally, the library is hosting live virtual demos on how to start borrowing e-books and audiobooks through the Libby app. This free online event takes place on Thursday, January 20 at 10 a.m. More information and registration can be found at www.arlibrary.org/watauga.
