Best UK Public Library Authority eBooks, Audiobooks & Digital Magazines Borrowed in 2021


Growing demand for digital content has led to record library circulation in Libby reading app

LONDON, December 1, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Almost two years after the pandemic-induced surge in digital content use, demand for digital material remains high. Over the past year, UK library authorities have responded to the needs of their communities with record-breaking editions of digital titles. Lists of the most popular 2021 eBooks, audiobooks and digital magazines downloaded by UK Library Authorities using its services were released today by Overdrive, the creator of the Libby Reading App.

OverDrive currently provides access to eBooks, audiobooks, digital magazines and digital newspapers to more than 3,000 libraries across the country, nearly ten times the number since november 2019. Library users with a valid library card and the Libby reader app can borrow and read digital materials from their local library 24/7 on any device.
